A Warm Welcome to Rutland Point Bistro

A new family-run bistro in Morcott is hoping to win the hearts, and appetites, of the Rutland community.

Here at Rutland Social Media, we’re always pleased to see new independent businesses opening their doors in our local villages. After all, it’s these small businesses, often run by local families, that help give Rutland its unique character and sense of community.

One of the latest additions to the local food scene is Rutland Point Bistro, situated at 5 Glaston Road in Morcott.

Behind this new venture are Daniela, Paul and Braden, a family team who have taken a considerable leap of faith to follow their dream of running their own bistro.

And they’re hoping the people of Rutland will come along and give them a try.

A Family Dream Becomes a Reality

Opening in the middle of summer 2026, Rutland Point Bistro is still very much a newcomer to the local hospitality scene.

For the family behind it, however, this is much more than simply another business venture.

With four young children in the family, Daniela, Paul and Braden have left behind the security of their previous nine-to-five jobs to concentrate on making their new enterprise a success.

It’s a commitment that will be familiar to many independent business owners. There are no large corporate backers or substantial advertising budgets to fall back on. Just determination, hard work and the hope that the local community will respond positively.

Like many new businesses, Rutland Point Bistro has experienced both encouraging moments and quieter periods. The team recently took to social media to introduce themselves to the wider community and explain just how much their new venture means to them.

A Fresh Start and a New Identity

One challenge facing the family is that their premises have previously been occupied by other hospitality businesses.

Some customers have apparently been hesitant to return to the location because of disappointing experiences with earlier establishments.

Understandably, the new owners are keen to emphasise that Rutland Point Bistro is an entirely new business, with a different team and a fresh approach.

They’re asking local residents to judge the bistro on its own merits and give them the opportunity to establish their own reputation.

It’s a reasonable request. Every new business deserves the chance to make its own first impression, regardless of what may have happened at the same address in the past.

An Invitation to the Rutland Community

Whether you’re meeting friends for a coffee, looking for somewhere different to enjoy a bite to eat, or planning a relaxed meal out, Rutland Point Bistro would be delighted to welcome you.

And as an added encouragement, the family has announced a special offer for customers responding to their recent appeal.

They’re offering 10% off your bill, with no minimum spend.

To take advantage of the offer, simply mention their social media post and explain that you’ve come along to support their new business.

As with any promotional offer, it’s worth checking with the bistro that the discount is still available before visiting.

Let’s Give Our Local Businesses a Chance

At Rutland Social Media, we believe that supporting local businesses is about more than simply spending money locally.

It’s about helping to maintain the character of our villages, encouraging enterprise and recognising the people who are prepared to take a chance on turning an idea into a livelihood.

Starting a new business is never easy, particularly in hospitality, where reputation, repeat customers and word-of-mouth recommendations can make such a difference.

For Daniela, Paul and Braden, every new customer represents an opportunity to demonstrate what they are trying to achieve.

So, if you happen to be passing through Morcott, or you’re looking for somewhere new to visit, why not consider giving Rutland Point Bistro a try?

You might discover a new favourite place to eat, and you’ll be giving a hardworking local family the opportunity to build something worthwhile.

From all of us at Rutland Social Media, we wish the family every success with their new venture.
